Visualization 5 | The electrical field distribution of a plane wave encountering obliquely the square metacrystal slab at 8 GHz. The plane wave encounters the square metacrystal slab from the bottom with the incident angle of 45 degree. The metacrystal slab comsists of 21X21 unit cells. The unit cell of metacrystal is at the lower frequency bands of the MM-PhC transition region. Only the oblique forward propagating wave could be observed.
